It's a beautiful sentiment to teach others
In February, I am quitting my current job for another one. Today, one of my coworkers told me that he has some advice for me: Don't reveal all your secrets to the person who will replace you. Let them struggle after you leave. Let them miss you.
I was thinking about it, and he was wrong. I don’t want to be one of those people who are very secretive about their work and don't teach others. They are just afraid that the pupil will get better than the master.
It's not like that. Teach others everything you know. Some of them will not care anyway. Some of them will remain just with what you told them, and some of them will try on their own to get even better. Tomorrow, try to be even better. If they will keep the pace with you, take it as motivation to improve even more.
Be proud that you were a teacher/master for someone. It's a beautiful sentiment.
