Racism it's not about words
It’s more than language. These archaic mindsets need to change and have no place in our sport. I’ve been surrounded by these attitudes and targeted my whole life. There has been plenty of time to learn. Time has come for action.

In this matter, I just want to point out one thing that is so obvious but misleading. Racism it's not about words. The word itself it's just a tool that points to something. For example, "ice cream" doesn't mean anything if you didn't taste it before. But after you taste it, the word has a meaning for you. You feel the desire to taste again. It's the same with racist expressions. Throughout history, these words, used as a tool for expressing thoughts and feelings, gathered all the hatred from those people who used them to express themselves.
And that it's racism, judging someone for their skin colour, beliefs, sexual orientation, way of living, nationality, ethnicity and everything else. Not the words used, but your feelings regarding them. You may not use any words, but your thinking is still racist.
