Make somebody responsible
After a group meeting, most of the time, the participants are lazy. They will not start right away with the new task. Hoping that it will be forgotten by the manager. Or if some problems arrive, they will have the excuse that it can not be done.
In the meeting, as a manager, make sure that you appoint a person responsible for a specific task. And this person will report directly to you on the progress.
When the same task is given to a group of people, they will feel less responsible for carrying it. Everyone will tell himself that isn't urgent or required to do. The next one will do for him.
