Bestselling author of bullshit

I absolutely hate the phrase: bestselling author.

Lately, this is used in so many books as a description. Why the hell you would do that. For me, it just denotes that you have no other selling point why I should read your book. Maybe your book is just bullshit and recycled ideas without no original input, and you don’t know anything else that would convince me to read it.

This is also a marketing bullshit selling point. It's like those products with a good-looking website telling you how great the deal it is. With every scroll down, you'll be reminded that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But is just big fat bullshit. Every time I hard pass purchasing it. It is a sign that the product isn't good enough for selling itself.
